Essential Tax Resources

Common Questions

What documents are required for my individual tax preparation?

You will typically need income statements such as W-2s and 1099s, records of deductible expenses like mortgage interest or charitable donations, and your identification documents. I provide a comprehensive checklist to ensure nothing is missed.

Do you offer tax services for small businesses and startups?

Yes, I specialize in small business tax solutions, including sole proprietorships. I handle everything from federal and state filings to tax advisory services.

How do you ensure accuracy and compliance with changing tax laws?

I stay updated through continuous education and the latest industry software. I perform multiple review cycles for every filing to catch potential errors and ensure maximum compliance and deduction accuracy.

Can you assist with filings for multiple states?

Absolutely. I am equipped to handle multi-state tax filings for individuals who have relocated or businesses operating across different jurisdictions, ensuring you only pay exactly what is required under each state's laws. **Disclaimer: there are few states that require state-specific credentials to prepare returns, and I do prepare those states.

Can I still work with you if I don't use the portal?

Yes. If you prefer not to use the portal, we can schedule an appointment to collect your documents and a second meeting to review and sign your return. Please note that in-person appointments require scheduling and may extend turnaround time. The portal is the most secure and efficient option, and I offer a fully virtual discount for clients who use it.
